What a Gem!

Alfresco dining was at its best during the Foundation for the Great Park’s Jewel of O.C., an annual affair that showcased the vast riches of the venue—and raised $175,000 at the same time. This year’s focus: the park’s Farm, Food + Agriculture program, and the more than 450 in attendance tasted its treasures. The affair began with signature sips—think Purple Basil Coolers—and a silent auction in the Farm + Food Lab. Later, Jill Johnson-Tucker, Barbara and Greg MacGillivray, and others moved onto the green for the main event—a rustic-chic dinner of pesto-stuffed portobello mushrooms and grilled California yellowtail, among other healthy bites.
