What a Catch!

| October 6, 2014 | Parties

A record $2.7 million was reeled in for O.C. nonprofits Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA, Miracles for Kids and Orangewood Children’s Foundation during the annual Stars & Stripes fishing tourney. Some 600 anglers journeyed from SoCal to the Hilton Los Cabos for four days of deep-sea fishing, golf and music. The highlight? A Saturday night bash featuring actor Gary Sinise & The Lt. Dan Band, who performed while guests like Big Brothers CEO Melissa Beck and Honda Center CEO and Stars & Stripes board member Tim Ryan danced on the sand. Even better: Over the past 18 years, the vacay has netted $20 million. Now that’s a charitable trip! -Photography by David Nash
