Watts Out!

| December 7, 2012 | Parties

His performance came during an eve of Italian-style celebrations and sensational sounds, and it set the tune for the Pacific Symphony’s classical season. Yes, we’re talking about pianist AndrĂ© Watts. He played Brahms for the org’s opening night party—a musical feast that netted $180,000. More than 250 filled the Westin SCP for a cocktail reception and a dinner of sole Florentine paired with performances of works by Rossini and Puccini—the affair was themed Festa di Firenze, after all. Then it was time for more aural delights from the orchestra and Watts. Supremo! Photography by Nick Koon
