Guests who attended Laura’s House’s inaugural Wine & Dine event pined over pinot noir and other wines—some 30 nectars, in fact—as the scent of grapes filled the air at Big Canyon Country Club. And what’s good wine without good food? Among the pairings: succulent scallop sliders and Mexican bay shrimp cocktails. Master Sommelier Steve Poe shared sip tips with oenophiles, while collectors penciled their names on silent auction lists. A grand total of $15,000 was garnered during the event, and everyone raised a glass to toast the night’s beneficiary, Laura’s House, which provides help to victims of domestic violence.
