It was a different kind of night for the Anaheim Ducks: They traded their uniforms for tuxedos, their hockey sticks for spatulas, and the entire team filled the Hyatt Regency Irvine for their 13th annual fundraising gala. Aptly titled Dux in Tux, the event paired players like Teemu Selanne and Jonas Hiller with chefs, including The Ranch’s Michael Rossi and Charlie Palmer’s Seakyeong Kim, to cook up creative cuisine for the 300 guests. A rousing live auction and a chance to mix and mingle with the guys rounded out the affair. The winning goal: More than $200,000 was raised for the Ducks S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation and Education) program. Yes, we’d be happy to see those Dux in Tux more often. Photos by Debora Robinson
