In The Details

So much goes into creating a successful soiree—the hours of planning, the passion of those behind it all and the memories made. Such was the case with Friends of CASA’s holiday fete at The St. Regis, which celebrated Court Appointed Special Advocates of O.C.’s 30-year history by netting a record $308,000.

Some 600 chic comrades got into the spirit, including those who have dedicated their time over the past year: co-chairwomen Tiffanie Foster and Colleen Masterson, and auxiliary President Jaynine Warner. The latter sported a beaded frock from Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet—whose desert-inspired line sizzled on the runway that afternoon.

Yes, the fashion show was hot (thanks to Saks Fifth Avenue); the meal was delish (Parmesan-crusted chicken breasts were served at tables bedecked with succulents); and the drawing dazzled with five bangles from Lugano Diamonds (the price tag: $19,500). But when winner Amita Singh gifted the bracelets to speaker and former foster youth Lauren Mueller, it made our day. -Photography by Xuong Do of Happy Photos
