Table for 10

| May 10, 2017 | Parties

Gourmands dished out upward of $300,000 for The Teen Project and Vocational Visions at Table for 10.

THE PARTY The dinner table—it’s where you gather with family and friends to share stories of your day over dishes prepared with love. And a decadent iteration of that experience came by way of Table for 10 at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott. Now in its 11th year, the tasty benefit brought together O.C.’s top talents to cook up unique spreads for 350 gastronomes—and satisfied with a more than $300,000 tally. THE GUESTS The culinary community was in full force, with the Craft House’s Blake Mellgren (he dished out a sublime scallop sashimi), Balboa Bay Resort’s Rachel Haggstrom and more showing their chops. Also on hand: host chef Salvatore Giuliano and executive chef chair Adam Navidi of Oceans & Earth. The latter was toasted by event chair Kristin Martin for supporting the fete since its inception. THE HIGHLIGHTS The final course? The funds will be split between The Teen Project, which aids young people aging out of the foster care system, and Vocational Visions, an organization that helps disabled adults find employment. A sweet ending, most certainly. -Kristen Schott
