Swingin' Soirée

| March 21, 2013 | Parties

The gents donned skinny ties, and the gals sported pearls and gloves, and they filled the ballroom at Balboa Bay Club for Friendship Shelter’s annual ball, appropriately themed Fly Me to the Moon. Setting the ’60s-inspired scene: Alec Milstein and his Mad Men. The band kept the party jumping with songs of the era, and guests couldn’t help but get up and dance. They also sipped swanky cocktails and bid on an array of auction items, including bottles of fine wine and stunners from the likes of Gucci, Neiman Marcus and South Coast Plaza. By the end of the night, all of those mad men and lovely ladies helped raise nearly $400,000 for the residential shelter. Photos by Ann Chatillon
