Sutton Foster will take the stage for one night only at Irvine Barclay Theatre.
Sutton Foster
It’s hard to believe it’s been four years since actress-singer extraordinaire Sutton Foster landed the television role that would change the course of her career. “It is weird for me that people know me from Younger and have no idea that I have a theater background,” says the actress of her hit show, which will enter its sixth season on the Paramount Network this summer. “It has been one of the best jobs I’ve ever had; I never thought that I would do television.” An early love of dance sparked the performer to take to the stage at just 4 years old. Two Tony Awards later (both for best performance by a leading actress in a musical for 2002’s Thoroughly Modern Millie and 2011’s Anything Goes) and a new album (Take Me to the World), and Foster’s affinity for the arts continues to shine. Watch her illuminate the Irvine Barclay Theatre stage April 13 as she performs original and Broadway favorites. “I love doing these shows because I can show a different side of me and share with audiences the music that I love to sing,” she says, beaming. The right notes, indeed. Tickets $65-$110, Gold Seats $200 with access to private City National Gold Bar featuring complimentary beverages and a post-performance reception with Foster
