Splashy Soirée

| September 27, 2011 | Parties

O.C.’s beach addicts flocked to SwimSpot’s pop-up shop grand opening party at Fashion Island hoping to get their golden, sun-tanned hands on the hottest swimwear from brands such as Athena, Ella Moss Isla, Hurley, Splendid and St. John. Everyone from Marta and Raj Bhathal to Susan Samueli stopped by the splashy soirée—and they weren’t disappointed. Guests pre-shopped 2012 collections, viewed a runway show screening of Luxe by Lisa Vogel, and sampled treats and drinks from A Restaurant and Piper-Heidsieck Champagne. And all that swim-themed fun made a big impact: The event raised more than $1,000 for Orangewood Children’s Foundation, which provides services for abused and neglected children and at-risk families.
