Southern Californians know and love award-winning furniture designer Susan Hornbeak-Ortiz, of Shine by S.H.O and SHO Modern, for her showstopping pieces that marry modern silhouettes with fashion-forward accents. Now, the visionary is going global with Ortiz Milano, an exquisite collection of 1970s-inspired dining tables, chairs, credenzas, sectionals, chandeliers and more that are designed from her Laguna Niguel headquarters and manufactured in a storied area north of Milan, Italy, on the way to Lake Como. “From a design perspective, Shine by S.H.O has more of a coastal vibe and is more glamorous at heart,” says CEO Russ Ortiz, “whereas Ortiz Milano is more cosmopolitan. We’re leveraging centuries of Italian craftsmanship designed from a California perspective.” Don’t miss one of Ortiz’s most beloved pieces—the Thalia chandelier, seen here.
