Songful Soirée

| May 26, 2011 | Parties

To celebrate the 88th birthday of arts visionary Henry Segerstrom, friends and family flocked to the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for a performance by soprano and dear friend to Henry and Elizabeth Segerstrom, Renée Fleming. Presented by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, the songstress performed to a sold-out house. During intermission, a cake in the shape of the center was presented to Segerstrom, while Chairman Lawrence Higby sang the praises of the arts patron. Later, Fleming debuted indie-rock songs from her newest album, Dark Hope. Photos by Trish Daniels and Chris Ratzlaff
