A fine repertoire of stage faves dazzled music fans who gathered at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts for A Night of Broadway at the Philharmonic Supper Club. The annual benefit started with a welcoming cocktail reception in the theater lobby, followed by dinner and a finale of chocolate cake with all sorts of trimmings. Throughout the night, guests—including Dee Higby and Victoria Collins—were serenaded by an all-star New York band under the direction of composer-lyricist Neil Berg. (Think classic show tunes such as “All That Jazz” from Chicago, “Seasons of Love” from Rent and “Gethsemane” from Jesus Christ Superstar.) Even sweeter than the cake were the funds raised—more than $150,000—for the organization’s Youth Music Education programs. Photos by Nicholas Koon Photography
