Sensory Perception

Filmmaker David Lynch has long been revered for his avant-garde works—Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks among the most lauded. But the 275 guests at this year’s Art of Dining, an A-list event benefiting the Orange County Museum of Art, saw another side of his creativity. Lynch—the guest of honor at this year’s soiree—is a trained painter who’s shown his works all over the world. OCMA supporters were treated to a short film showcasing his artistry, but that was just one highlight. Executive committee members Jennifer Segerstrom, Twyla Martin and Jennifer Van Bergh mingled with guests during a Champagne reception in the Balboa Bay Resort’s Coconut Grove, then filed into the ballroom to indulge in a four-course feast. Best of all, the money raised will help support the museum’s school programs. Photography by Ryan Miller/Capture Imaging
