Elie Tahari Fall Styling Event benefiting the American Heart Association

Elie Tahari’s Fashion Island boutique popped with luscious shades of red—and a store full of well-heeled gals happily snapped up dresses, pants, sweaters and skirts in every hue to benefit the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign, which aims to educate ladies on the dangers of cardiovascular disease (it’s the No. 1 killer) and promote a healthy lifestyle. The Orange County chapter’s Executive Director Tammy Rocker joined notables like interior designer Candace Manning and Dr. Fran Newman in the shopping extravaganza. Guests, who sipped Champagne and nibbled on delicious little bites while browsing, got 20 percent off the fall collection, and Go Red got 10 percent of the money from each sale. Now that’s a way to paint the town red! “Support from this event will make a huge impact on Go Red For Women’s efforts to wipe out heart disease.” –Tammy Rocker, executive director of the American Heart Association of Orange County
