Rock On!

| March 19, 2014 | Parties National

Pretend City Children’s Museum was just a bit edgier than normal when the nonprofit educational organization held its music-inspired gala within its walls. The evidence? The bash was themed Rock the City, and some 350 sharp-dressed partygoers did just that. Bill and Christina Lyon, and Mark and Sarah Fitzpatrick jammed out to the sounds of ’80s cover band Flashback Heart Attack and nabbed live auction items like trips to New York, the Kentucky Derby or Mammoth. They also raised their paddles high during the Fund-the-Mission program, which brought in $100,000 for upcoming travel exhibits, scholarships and more at the institution. And with $400,000 raised by the end of it all, it’s safe to say the night closed on a high note. –Photos by Ann Chatillon
