Word spread fast about the Best Kept Secret exhibit at Laguna Art Museum—and nearly 700 attendees gathered at the venue for the opening night reception, eager to be among the first to get a glimpse of the works displayed in the program. Guests sipped cocktails and chatted with artists like Tony DeLap and curator Grace Kook-Anderson about the exhibit. Best Kept Secret sheds light on UCI’s former faculty and students who were instrumental in SoCal’s contemporary art movement during the ’60s and ’70s. We can only hope their work remains uncovered now and into the future—thanks, of course, to LAM. Photos by Michael Haight
