They came from all corners of our coast to cook up epicurean delights for charity, and their culinary prowess helped glean a record $270,000 for March of Dimes. We are, of course, talking about the nonprofit’s Signature Chefs Auction at the Westin South Coast Plaza, which drew some 300 gourmands to wine and dine on octopus carpaccio from Alessandro Pirozzi of Mare Culinary Lounge and meatballs from Seakyeong Kim of Charlie Palmer—and the restaurant’s namesake was even on hand to chat with Anton and Jennifer Segerstrom, and Analisa Albert between rounds of snacks.
