What does this centennial mean to the United Way?
Due to the generous and caring people in Orange County, we have an incredible legacy, but there is so much more we can accomplish by working together. We invite everyone to join us in helping students succeed, helping hardworking families achieve financial stability, ending homelessness for our unhoused neighbors, and ensuring everyone has access to the help and resources they need.
Tell us about the gala.
We look forward to an inspirational and fun evening and extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible co-chairs, Stephen and Regina Oswald, as well as our passionate donors and supporters for their hard work and dedication to making this a memorable event for all. Their support is the reason that we are able to celebrate our 100th anniversary.
How has giving back shaped your life?
As a volunteer and donor, it was life-changing for me to co-found the Women’s Philanthropy Fund with Orange County United Way. It opened my eyes to the great need in Orange County and all of the kind and passionate people in our community.
Who inspires you?
I am inspired every day by our donors who are financially successful and recognize that they, at one point in their lives, also needed help.
My favorite splurge is...on orange dresses for our events.
The luxury I feel is worth every penny is... being able to give back.
