The stage has been set for the 30th anniversary of Chapman University’s American Celebration, and some 110 attendees fêted the upcoming gala (and the institution’s 150th birthday) during a reception hosted by South Coast Plaza on the Garden Terrace. Guests wined and dined alfresco on The Capital Grille’s sumptuous selections and grooved to music from Center Stage Productions. It was a fitting event for the celebration itself—an entertainment bonanza set for the first weekend of this month. The grand finale? A black-tie ball that’s not to be missed. Photos by Carla Rhea
