THE PARTY Dr. Jacqueline DuPont-Carlson and Marc Carlson welcomed guests to their San Juan Capistrano estate for Illumination Foundation’s eighth annual Illuminate the Night Chef’s Table. THE PEOPLE Driven by its mission to end homelessness, the gala was attended by 375 generous guests, from actor John Stamos to Glen and Debbie Bickerstaff, who were honored with this year’s Community Champion Award. DuPont-Carlson and Karen Jordan served as co-chairs for the lively fete. THE PINNACLE Top Chef alum Amar Santana of Vaca, Broadway and The Hall Global Eatery prepared the evening’s main dinner while chefs, like Rich Mead of Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens, complemented the fare with their own creations. In total, the fete cooked up $1,332,409—the largest amount the gala has ever garnered. “You are illuminating the darkness for so many struggling with the challenges of homelessness,” said Illumination Foundation CEO Paul Leon of the generosity of the night’s guests. “You are changing lives.”
