THE PARTY The inspiring women of MemorialCare Saddleback Medical Center’s giving circle convened at Studio at Montage Laguna Beach for its annual Beauty in Grace Luncheon. Its 75 members have tallied more than $355,000 for women’s health services to date. THE PEOPLE Beauty in Grace chair Dr. Cathy Han shared the impact their donations have made. “Your gifts will help save the lives of more women in our community,” she noted. “This is important because cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S.” Featured speaker Gina Romano, a nurse and ICU educator, detailed the lifesaving care Saddleback Medical Center provided when she experienced a heart attack due to a tear in her artery. The gifts of Beauty in Grace members aided in the center’s cardiac catheterization lab renovation. THE PINNACLE A beautiful luncheon against the Pacific wowed but it was the generosity of attendees that made the day truly special. “We’re so grateful for everyone who has joined our circle,” said Han. “We hope to grow it each year and deepen our impact on women’s health in our community.”
