"I can’t remember life without the hospitality industry,” says Michael Fuerstman, co-founder and creative director of O.C.’s Pendry Hotels & Resorts. “My earliest memories are running around hotels with my dad.” Fuerstman certainly learned from the best. His father, Alan Fuerstman, founded Montage International 18 years ago with the opening of Montage Laguna Beach, and its sister brand Pendry, which launched in 2017, continues to boom. Pendry West Hollywood, Pendry Chicago and Pendry Manhattan West all made their grand debuts in 2021 and Pendry Park City will see its own opening by winter. Up next, properties in La Quinta; Natirar, N.J.; Washington D.C.; and Cincinnati will arrive throughout 2022 and 2023. MY FAVORITE SCENT IS… MiN New York’s Momento mixed with Maison Louis Marie’s perfume oil in No.04 Bois de Balincourt.
I NEVER TRAVEL WITHOUT… my Rimowa aluminum carry-on. It’s sleek, wears well and travels with me everywhere.
A MAN IS NEVER FULL DRESSED WITHOUT… his watch.
