While he and fellow co-founder Jeremy Johnson sold the brand to Estée Lauder Companies in 2016 for a whopping $1.45 billion, Blandino remains heavily involved and is credited with creating the world’s first glitter eye shadow, plus the bestselling prestige mascara and lip-plumping lip glosses in America. THE FIVE THINGS LEFT ON MY BUCKET LIST ARE… 1. Move to London for at least a full year. 2. Visit the Christmas markets in Vienna and Germany. 3. Finish our documentary and premiere it to the world. 4. Evolve myself and my brand to educate, entertain and inspire people around the world to become the best versions of themselves while looking for the best in each other. 5. Get trapped in a Cartier boutique overnight so I can try on every single piece of jewelry all at once.
IF I WASN’T IN MY CURRENT CAREER, I WOULD… be hosting The Great British Bake Off, of course.
I WANT MY LEGACY TO BE… for people to know that you are beautiful just as you are, but big lashes, a bold lip and some glitter eye shadow makes life a lot more fun!
MY EARLIEST STYLE MEMORY IS… my grandmother taking me Christmas shopping on Rodeo Drive. She was so chic, polished and classically perfect with her Hermès Kelly handbag, Chanel ballet flats and Wilma Flintstone pearls.
MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP FOR CLOTHES IN ORANGE COUNTY IS… South Coast Plaza.
MY ULTIMATE FASHION SPLURGE IS… my 1969 racing-green Mercedes 280SL Pagoda. Cars are a man’s handbag.
I AM MOST CONFIDENT WHEN I WEAR MY… Saint Laurent denim jacket with a diamond brooch. It’s the perfect combination of casual-cool.
