More than 100 ladies—and a few gentlemen—gathered at Assouline’s South Coast Plaza boutique for its launch of Pioneers of the Possible, a title that honors 20 visionary women who have stood out over the years. While names like Frida Kahlo, Estée Lauder and Ella Fitzgerald grace the pages, the woman of the hour was author Angella Nazarian, who met with fans to discuss those fearless females. In keeping with the night’s focus, the event was held in partnership with the Global Fund for Women and the Iranian-American Women Foundation—two organizations that are making a difference in the lives of females near and far.
