Improving your wellness doesn’t have to be confined to stuffy health food stores, dimly-lit gyms, and doctors’ offices, it can be as fun and simple as trying a healthy new activity in the presence of positive-minded individuals in a serene location. Meet NOVO DIA, the latest immersive wellness event to hit San Diego. The inaugural one-day festival will be held at the stunning reclaimed Museum of Contemporary Art in La Jolla on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guests will enjoy panoramic views of the ocean from the architecturally-tranquil La Jolla space while they embark on a variety of classes and workshops from San Diego’s top wellness experts. The full-day spiritual event will offer guided yoga classes for yogis of all levels, sound baths, breathwork, guided meditation, reiki, organic juices, a specialty mocktail bar, and an expo area filled with representatives from local studios, spas, and wellness hubs.
“For me, NOVO DIA represents a chance to truly reset,” says Igor Lascani, founder of Pineapple Live and NOVO DIA.
The festival will not only connect wellness-lovers with top local studios and spas, but it will also give attendees the unique chance to explore the museum’s celebrated art collections at their leisure.
“We started approaching the wellness industry with experimental events after the pandemic when - in the middle of true chaos - we found an opportunity to reinvent ourselves and what we do. The inability to produce live music events (Pineapple Live’s specialty) and the current health crisis motivated us to create something that would expand the human mind and heal the human body. With a full day of workshops and classes that some of our community has yet to experience from the city’s finest wellness studios and spas, all in such a beautiful location that offers a huge art component, I know that our guests will leave the event feeling fueled and ready to continue on with their lives in a more mindful and healthy way,” says Lascani.
