A Night to Cherish

| April 8, 2015 | Parties

It was a legendary night in every way—from a fund-the-need auction that drew bids like $25,000 (from Jim and Heather Madden) and $100,000 (courtesy of Stephanie Argyros) to the spectacular live performance by award-winning artist John Legend, who serenaded guests with his sexy, soulful tunes. It’s no wonder the sold-out evening raised a record $1.65 million. Yes, this year’s CHOC Cherishes Children Gala was quite a soiree, set in the stylish surrounds of Newport’s Island Hotel, with dazzling jewels from Harry Winston providing extra sparkle. It was also a night of giving thanks to those who have helped CHOC Children’s in its mission to heal. Case in point: The Argyros Family Foundation, which has donated millions to the pediatric medical center, was presented with the Children’s Champion Award. A cause for celebration. –Photos by Bob Hodson
