BOOK SMART
The works of Colombian artist Max Steven Grossman are now available for purchase at Laguna Beach’s JoAnne Artman Gallery. Inspired by his love of fashion, architecture, art and rock ’n’ roll, Grossman utilizes the art of digital collage in his series Bookscapes. Each oversize piece depicts a range of photographed books that Grossman has gathered from public and private collections, bookstores and the internet. In “Fashion SQ 3,” Grossman highlights collectible tomes featuring beloved designers, ranging from Louis Vuitton and Versace to Chanel and Balenciaga. While some may argue that paper books are slowly dissipating in popularity, Grossman allows literary lovers to make wall art out of his gorgeously themed “libraries.” Reading between the lines, indeed. joanneartmangallery.com
