The Mission Hospital Holiday
Gala sparkled with an impressive
tally of roughly $2.2 million.

THE PARTY It was an inspired evening at Monarch Beach Resort as hundreds of glamorous do-gooders gathered to raise funds at the annual Mission Hospital Holiday Gala. The breathtaking total will contribute to the facility’s forthcoming Mission Cancer Institute, set to open in mid-2019. The GUESTS Gala chairs Ronnie Andrews, Dr. Mike Pellini and Michael Rodriquez welcomed guests to the glowing ballroom, where attendees indulged in a multicourse feast paired with top-notch vinos, all in the name of this year’s theme, A Journey Through Wine Country. And as glasses were filled, paddles went up during a rousing live auction, where a humanitarian mission in Guatemala and the opportunity to play FOX NFL Sunday producer for a day were on the roster. Lovely ladies, such as Beth Keany and Marsi Hanna, were also enticed by Lugano Diamonds’ exquisite raffle item—a $25,000 diamond ring—courtesy of Idit and Moti Ferder. THE HIGHLIGHTS The After Glow Party kept revelers on their feet until 1am, and they certainly had reason to celebrate. The anticipated Fund-a-Need challenge raked in more than $1.2 million, doubling last year’s tally of $600,000. -Allison Mitchell
