The restaurant is the brainchild of friends and accomplished chefs Ross Pangilinan (of Terrace by Mix Mix, Mix Mix Kitchen & Bar and ReMix Kitchen Bar) and Nicholas Weber, who will serve as executive chef. LOCAL LEGEND It’s been five decades since Jan Gaffney opened the first Jan’s Health Bar inside George’s Surf Shop in Huntington Beach. Known for its healthy take on sandwiches, salads and smoothies, the brand has since expanded, opening four additional outposts in Costa Mesa, Laguna Beach, Corona del Mar and Irvine since 2013.
