The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman
of the Year gala raised a record $533,224 for blood cancer research.

THE PARTY Some 300 guests gathered at the Irvine Marriott to cheer on six candidates at the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year gala. Each driven by a passion for helping those with blood cancers, fundraisers Tedd Barr, Benjamin Casteel, Joe de Lachica, Allison Mitchell, Danielle Moss and Reginald Whitely joined friends and family in celebrating their hard-earned efforts. THE SCENE Auction items, including a trip to Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, enticed guests during the silent auction before they moved to the ballroom to find out which man and woman had garnered the highest fundraising total. THE HIGHLIGHTS Moss, the Woman of the Year, broke the O.C. chapter’s individual fundraising total with some $239,000, while Barr took home the Man of the Year title with $143,455. Our own Mitchell was recognized with the Mission Integration Award, and in total the group pooled more than $533,000 for LLS. Bravo! -The Editors
