Just a Taste

| April 8, 2014 | Parties

Wine-lovers gathered at the Hyatt Regency Surf City for a night of mingling and savoring handpicked wines—all part of Community Service Programs’ Love Grows by Giving soiree. The guest of honor? Master Sommelier Ian Cauble. He poured blind tastings of vino for oenophiles, and they guessed the labels based on taste and smell. Local eateries added to the sensations by serving up food pairings and beer samplings. Auction goodies, meanwhile, included a golf and spa vacation package at The Resort at Pelican Hill. By the end of it all, $75,000 had been bottled up for the nonprofit’s Huntington Beach Youth Shelter—ah, sweet nectar. –Photos by Armando De La Cruz and courtesy of Community Service Programs’ Huntington Beach Youth Shelter
