Jazzed Up!

| June 3, 2014 | Parties

The ladies donned dazzling headbands and long strands of pearls, while the gents strutted into The St. Regis Monarch Beach wearing their pinstriped suits and bow ties— all dressing to the Roaring ’20s theme set for this year’s JDRF Dream Gala. And what a festive night it was. Attendees sipped Ketel One martinis during the cocktail hour. And after a sumptuous dinner, they offered heartfelt appreciation to the guests of honor—Janet and Carl Nolet, and Lara and Tom Giddings, who’ve adopted JDRF’s mission to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes. And, of course, there was the live auction. The Nolets’ VIP tour of the family’s Nolet Distillery in Holland, plus three cases of their Ketel One, sold twice for $10,000. By the end of the night, JDRF had netted $1 million. And we say cheers to that! -Photos by Ann Chatillon
