It was all fun and games—with a bit of charitable competition thrown in—at the Adoption Guild of Southern O.C.’s Roy Emerson Tennis Classic kickoff. Players grabbed their rackets and headed to the Palisades and Newport Beach tennis clubs for the tourney. That was followed by the poolside Players Party, where athletic attendees enjoyed musical acts and eats from local restos. But the party didn’t end there: The classic continued the next weekend and supported adoptive and foster kids in SoCal—and that put a little love back into the game. Photos by Ann Chatillon
