Heritage Barbecue is holding its very own craft BBQ invitational, a one-day event featuring craft beer, live music, a full bar, and of course, good old-fashioned BBQ. Guests will have the opportunity to sample and savor the very best from a star-studded lineup of pitmasters, including celebrated individuals from both coasts and around the nation.
"This event offers a rare and exclusive opportunity for craft BBQ lovers here in California to sample some of the country's best barbecue from some of the best pitmasters around," says Heritage Barbecue owner and pitmaster Daniel Castillo. "We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our two-year anniversary than by throwing a big BBQ party with some of the best-of-the-best in the craft BBQ industry and inviting all of our friends and BBQ lovers here in California, too."
The best of SoCal’s BBQ scene will be attending, including renowned Los Angeles pitmasters from Moo's Craft BBQ and Slab BBQ, as well as Adam Perry Lang. Eventgoers will also enjoy BBQ from Texas superstars, including San Antonio’s 2M Smokehouse, Austin’s Interstellar BBQ, Lexington-based Snow’s BBQ, and Houston-based Killen’s BBQ.
Guests will also see the famous 6-time BBQ world champion Tuffy Stone, who was inducted into the BBQ Hall of Fame in 2018. Stone is a Virginia-based chef and author, and he will prepare delicious meats for the crowds at the event. Pitmaster Daniel Castillo
The invitational will be held at Sea Terrace Park in Dana Point . The setting is perfect for a summer event, featuring rolling green hills and gorgeous trails. The smoked goods will come from everywhere in the country, but the one-day event will be held in America’s golden state in beautiful SoCal — where it’s always sunny, the weather is pleasant, and the ocean waves are bright blue.
