Haute Home

| November 2, 2012 | Parties National

Easy-living furniture was the talk of the town—or perhaps Fashion Island—when Tommy Bahama opened its first home store, and it was naturally cause to celebrate. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house kicked off the day of partying, which culminated with a grand opening soirĂ©e benefiting the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. Some 500 design enthusiasts relaxed with handcrafted beverages, light cuisine and desserts from Tommy Bahama Island Grille, and wandered casually through the 5,000-square-foot space, eyeing the bedding, sofas, tables and decor they’d soon be adding to their oceanfront abodes. But have no fear: New collections will debut regularly at the store, so you can always keep it coastal cool. Photography by Stefanie Keenan
