Handbag Holiday

A lot can be said about a woman by the contents of her handbag, but even more conversation stirring is the purse itself. So it’s not surprising that Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza and Riviera teamed up to throw a Passport to Luxury soiree celebrating the debut of the retailer’s new handbag floor. Upon arrival, the intimate group of guests were handed a passport—perhaps their ticket to a new Chloé tote. Britta Wetteskind and Monika Zsbrita chatted with event hosts Andrea Gialanella (wife of Riviera’s dashing publisher) and Grace Hinman while boutique hopping throughout the floor and snapping up goodies from the likes of Tory Burch and Gucci. All of that spending brought in $20,000, and Surf City’s Pegasus School pocketed a portion of those proceeds. So, who bagged the purse? Pegasus parent Christina Shen.
