To celebrate an extraordinary year of fundraising, JDRF’s Dream Guild gathered at the Penthouse of South Coast Plaza for the group’s annual Spring Fling luncheon, hosted by Eric Finley of Oscar de La Renta. Following a fashion show and a behind-the-scenes video from the designer’s workroom, guests created their own limited-edition frocks, with proceeds from the sales benefiting the Dream Guild. But the highlight of the luncheon came when Dream Guild’s then-president, Julie Hellmers, shared that the group’s year of fundraising efforts netted $100,000 for juvenile diabetes research.
