| June 4, 2013 | Parties

It’s been 17 years since Mission Hospital’s Valiant Women group held its first fundraising luncheon. In that time, more than $1 million has been raised to support women’s services at the medical institution. So there were plenty of reasons to party this year. Led by board chairwoman Kathleen Krogius and fashion show chairwoman Terri Owcarz, the day drew some 560 guests to The St. Regis Monarch Beach for festivities like a silent auction and a runway show with nurses and physicians serving as models. It all helped the luncheon net more than $245,000, marking yet another successful year. Photography by Lisa Renee Baker
