Goodness Grapes!

The Wooden Floor kept its promise to please palates by holding its Wine Tasting Benefit for the sixth year in a row—and oenophiles, in turn, helped net more than $200,000 for the nonprofit’s youth-oriented programs. And we think the vino had a place—or pour—in that. Some 275 supporters sipped on a selection of 12 highly rated, rare wines from Oregon and California, all donated by event co-chairs John and Janice Markley. Silent and live auctions also served up items like a 2009 Kosta Browne Pinot Noir magnum—and a $6,000 winning bid nabbed that bottle.Photography by Nick Koon
