The entertainment
If the keys to a noteworthy night are vivacious voices, rockin’ performances and an amped-up crowd, then the O.C. Music Awards had it all. Music buffs packed the house at The Grove of Anaheim—to the tune of 1,300 guests and VIPs, including the gal behind it all, Ashley Eckenweiler, along with Dramarama’s John Easdale, Wahoo’s Fish Taco’s Mingo and Ed Lee, and KROQ’s Rodney on the Roq (aka Rodney Bingenheimer), who nabbed the Lifetime Achievement Award. Also honored: Jeramiah Red (Best New Artist and Best Blues outfit) and Young the Giant, a band who’s taking the airwaves by storm with their hit single “Cough Syrup.” When they weren’t celebrating all that talent, attendees enjoyed signature cocktails infused with Emergen-C Orange and grooved to live music from the best sound stars around.
