After launching her career in the for-profit sector of marketing and advertising, it was her role as a volunteer for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and her Little, Wendy, that changed the course of Sloane Keane’s life. As the newly minted CEO of BBBS Orange County (ocbigs.org), Keane has grown from a volunteer to director of development and is now leading the charge on finding mentors for children in need—there’s a waitlist of 500 and counting. “I believe every child like Wendy should have the same opportunity because they are born with the potential to succeed,” says the Newport Beach resident.
