Nearly 600 of O.C.’s heroines—and heroes—filled the ballroom at The St. Regis Monarch Beach for Mission Hospital’s Valiant Women Luncheon. The day offered everything from a silent auction to a fashion show featuring the institution’s fabulous doctors and nurses. They walked the runway sporting styles from The Shops at Mission Viejo, and the crowd went wild for medical models like Michael Miyamoto. The afternoon ended with a special moment honoring the seven ladies who founded the group back in 1996—and the news that it all raised more than $235,000 for 3-D mammography at the hospital proved just how valiant these women are. -Photos by Lisa Renee Baker and Lauren Recupero
