If there was ever any question of the impact Girl Scouts of Orange County has on the lives of our youth, it was quelled the night of the group’s Celebrate Leadership Gala. That’s when the event’s 300 (and then some) guests learned of the accomplishments and contributions of 12 women—all former Girl Scouts. (Victoria Collins, Heidi Miller and Kathryn Cenci among them.) To toast these fabulous females, guests tipped their Thin Mint Martinis in the ever-so-chic Island Hotel ballroom. The best news of all, however, came after the evening had ended and it was revealed that $218,000 was raised to help future generations of girls become tomorrow’s leaders.
