Future Bright!

| April 8, 2013 | Parties

Nearly 500 of O.C.’s finest were asked to make tomorrow a brighter day for kids by attending CHOC Children’s annual ball, a night of great cuisine, dancing and entertainment at the Island Hotel. The theme for such a forward-thinking affair: A Future Built on Hope. And chairwoman Heather Madden—whose gown was magnificent—and the gala committee wowed all attendees with their work. A video wall in the front of the ballroom played images of the pediatric hospital’s new patient-care tower. The live auction was rich with luxe items, and Christine Bren, and Missy and Chris Callero were among the big winners. Another highlight came when CHOC President and CEO Kimberly Cripe announced a $27 million gift from Newport resident Bill Holmes to name the tower. The night’s final tally: $900,000, ensuring a bright future, indeed. Photography by Bob Hodson
