Friends of CASA Holiday Soiree

| March 9, 2018 | Parties

The Friends of CASA Holiday Luncheon & Fashion Show raised a cheerful net total of $426,000-plus.

THE PARTY There’s something special about the Friends of CASA holiday soiree. Perhaps it’s the cause: to raise funds (a record net of more than $426,000) for the nonprofit’s efforts to train mentor-advocates for kids in foster care. Or it could be the spirit of the season. Then again, the inspiration might have stemmed from its co-chairs, Stefanie Stamires and Marjie Zethraus. Whatever it was, O.C.’s finest couldn’t get enough. THE GUESTS Some 620 revelers packed the Monarch Beach Resort. Lauren Wong strolled the silent auction, looking for goodies on which to bid. And Garrett Calacci, Barclay Butera and Ray Langhammer clinked their glasses over lunch. THE HIGHLIGHTS A fashion show from Intermix and Jimmy Choo at South Coast Plaza, a drawing for Lugano’s black diamond oval earrings (won by Tammy Storino) and a sponsor-a-child segment that earned a $25,000 matching grant from Harry Bronson and the Edith Knapp Foundation topped off the event. A special something, indeed.
