Friends for Dinner

It was a night reserved for 170 foodies who arrived at AnQi to indulge in a feast prepared by acclaimed chef Daniel Rose (of Spring in Paris), and the resto’s Master Chef Helene An and Chef de Cuisine Ron Lee. The spot was decorated with French lampposts, a wall of greenery and flowers. The aperitif? Parisian Kiss cocktails. But the food stole the show—from the filet mignon carpaccio to the duet of duckling. Needless to say, every seat was taken. Mike Bello (Bello Family Vineyards provided the wine), and Christina and Bill Lyon joined hosts Elizabeth An, Britt Meyer, Soogie Kang and Cheryl Holden in supporting the James Beard Foundation’s outreach efforts, and raising funds for a local scholarship at the Art Institute’s culinary school.
