Fleet of Feet

| May 22, 2012 | Parties

An evening of entertainment awaited the crowd that gathered at The Grove in Anaheim for Assistance League of Newport-Mesa’s Dancing for Tomorrow’s Stars. Event chairwoman Jill Ayres, along with her husband Jim, kicked off the evening with a performance that set the tune for the night. The main event, however, was second to none, thanks to a lineup of community “celebs” paired with professional dancers. Showstoppers Sara Guggenheim Jarrett and Eddie Alba, along with Mike Sanchez, Alessia Minaeva and others, wowed the crowd and impressed judges Christina Lyon, David MacInnis and Leigh Steinberg. The results: Brett Lawrence lassoed the title of Best Male Dancer, and Jarrett nabbed Best Female Dancer and Fan Favorite honors. Of course, all the dancers received well-deserved awards for their efforts to learn how to groove, pirouette and two-step with the best of them. Bravo!
