Whether they’re hitting the ice or rocking the runway, the Ducks hockey players always seem to be killing it. The evidence: the Lady Ducks fashion show and luncheon benefiting CHOC Children’s neonatal intensive care surgery unit. Team members and their significant others took to the runway in the latest looks from Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza, wowing the sold-out crowd who filled the Balboa Bay Resort. Since its launch eight years ago, the event has raised more than $900,000 ($200,000 net this year alone) for the medical center. But that should come as no surprise when you consider the auction items on display. The offering of a Newport Harbor boat cruise with Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf, Head Coach Bruce Boudreau and TV commentator Brian Hayward fetched $27,000. Score! –Photos Courtesy of The Anaheim Ducks
