Fill 'Em Up!

The chefs at Share Our Selves’ Wild & Crazy Taco Night wanted to concoct out-of-the-box (or should we say shell?) tacos, and their creations titillated the taste buds of every foodie in attendance. There was a charred octopus taco by Five Crowns’ Greg Harrison. Chris Powell from Orange Hill mixed up guajillo orange-braised goat tacos. The others spanned the gamut, from Louie Jocson’s chilled shrimp and crawfish taco to Franco Barone’s fava beans with shrimp and spaghetti vegetable tacos. The nearly 700 gourmands washed it all down with Tres Sietes Tequila margaritas and TAPS beer. The night netted $70,600 for the nonprofit—all because of a crazy taco or two.
